  1. I give this book 5 stars because of the combination between realistic fiction and fantasy. While Kiranmala is a complete kick-butt demon slayer, she’s also an awkward teen. This aspect of her story gives the reader something to connect to. I also quite enjoy any Indian-based mythology novels, especially with female protagonists.

  2. I really enjoyed this book and all of the amazing events and description and characters put in this book! I was so inspired by this book that I decided to read the next one.

  3. I liked reading this book because of the mixture of fantasy and mythology with some realistic fiction as well. I enjoyed the humor and also liked how the author added family trouble and different conflicts. It got a little boring when they weren’t doing anything, and the details were extremely detailed (maybe a little too much) but overall it was a good story.

    Rating: 4
  4. I really liked the book and the plot. It had a lot of ups and downs and even if some parts got boring, it was a really good book. I like how you could relate to some parts and how the author included many details.

  5. The Serpent’s Secret is a great book. I thought the book was get a tiny bit boring and slow in the middle but in the end it turned out to be a pretty good book.

  6. I liked the book a lot because she’s just a normal girl who then realizes she’s a demon slayer. She’s a normal kid who goes to school until her parents see a demon. In summary, it was a fun read and it does not really get boring. It’s similar to Percy Jackson but it has Indian mythology, not Greek mythology.

  7. It is a great combination of fantasy and realism in one great story. The fact that she had to learn all about demon slaying reminds me of Harry Potter learning about the wizarding world (I love the Harry Potter series)

    Rating: 5
  8. I would give this book four stars because it has a lot of action. And I like the fact that Kiran is a demon slayer and not some regular person. Overall the book was not bad.
