Of course, it’s presented by Rick Riordan because the book is simply AWESOME. It’s the 2nd book in the Pandava series. If you’re looking for another amazing, fresh mythology read, read this book and its prequel. If you want action, look no further. Want humor? All packed in here, and I love this book and will finish it.

  21. Wicked Will Rise by Danielle Paige
I mean at the beginning it was kinda meh, like nothing was actually happening, but that might be because it’s only the first 100 pages. Though it did get interesting at like the end part of those 100 pages and more mysteries are being unlocked.
    Will finish!!

I like this book so far because there have been several new characters already introduced and it has been really exciting and funny so far. I will be finishing this book.

  23. The End of Oz by Danielle Paige
Honestly, I mean I don’t like the main villain of this book, the Nome King. He’s boring, and you have basically no clue what he’s doing, but you don’t really care. I mean the first 90ish pages were all pretty moderate. Nothing really happened, I mean I guess some of the characters did get captured but like, it was predictable.
Some chapters also tell Dorothy’s perspective which is new, I have wavering feelings about it. Sometimes it’s interesting to see into the mind of the villain and see how obnoxiously she sees the world, sometimes it’s boring just seeing how dumb she is with how she deals with problems.
Though the last like 10 pages of the 100 pages, we made more progress, there’s more action, and a new character who’s pretty interesting and mysterious.
Pretty sure this will end up being a pretty awesome book though. I’m going to finish it!

The book was great, but since the first book in the series (This is the third book), it got kind of boring. At least this book was a sequel to the first… I haven’t read the last book yet, but I’m guessing it’s a sequel to the second book. I already finished this book (321 pages, what a coincidence).

  25. Inside out and back again
    Thanhha Lei
I finished the book, it was very cool to see her culture in it and experiences and hardships. “When life, goes wrong remember, hope.” was the main message. I love how she doesn’t make it fictional and really expresses her feelings at the time instead of covering her scars, she explains how it hurt her and her family.

  34. The Girl Who Drank the Moon by Kelly Barnhill. This is a reread of a book I have read in the past and are rereading. In the first 100 pages, it was a bit of background information about the main character and side characters. It’s also written around two main protagonists who, for now, don’t know much about each other’s existence, and because I don’t remeber much about the story, I can’t wait to see how their stories intertwine and tie together.

  35. Percy Jackson and the Olympians – The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan
I mean this is probably crazy to a lot of people, but I’ve never read this series, I mean I never thought I would like it, and it wasn’t particularly in my favored genre area. But I got encouraged by a friend to read it. I mean, I’m not really sure if I like it so far, but I’m not that picky with books, so I’m pretty sure I’ll start to grow a liking to it later in the book. I mean nothing has really happened yet, they haven’t reached the camp, they’re about half a mile away.

    1. WhaAaAaAaAaaaAAAaAAaaaaat? You’ve never read it?! *DRAMATIC GASP*
Gee, I wonder who that friend was… :p
No, really though, it’s an awesome series, and I’m happy you’re reading it! You probably will like the later books or even the Heroes of Olympus series because I believe you told me you like romance (I’m not a huge fan of it, but I’m not judging you either). Anyways, it’s very funny, action-packed, and it teaches a LOT about Greek and Roman myths. In fact, I can name several of the main gods (Greek mythology): Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Aphrodite, Athena, Artemis, Demeter, Hestia, Persephone, Dionysus, Ares, Hephaestus, Hermes, Apollo, and Hades. And I can name them in Roman too: Jupiter, Neptune, Juno, Venus, Minerva, Diana, Ceres, Vesta, Proserpine, Bacchus, Mars, Vulcan, Mercury, Apollo, and Pluto. AND I can name several minor gods from both myths. I know a lot about Norse, Egyptian, Greek, and Roman myths, thanks to Rick Riordan. (Rick Riordan presents is also pretty good, but the Aru Shah series is AWESOME.
So yeah, an awesome book you’re reading. In the long run, I know you’ll like it.

  37. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan
First 100 pages they haven’t really done anything except go back to Half-Blood. Honestly, I think the main part that’s keeping me reading this series are the characters, they all have a little quirk and unique flair to them. Probably will finish book.

  38. Ender’s Game

I really like this book because of how interesting it is and I also really like Sci-Fi, so that’s why I really like it.

I’m not sure where the book is headed, they have just reached Camp Half-Blood. It’s interesting so far, new characters have come and I don’t know what to make of them yet. Will be finishing the book.

  40. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan
This book is pretty interesting so far with Luke and Nico. Percy’s in a pretty gross but interesting situation and I’m not sure how he’s going to get out of it. The maze is actually pretty fun to read about since it has all these different tunnels and it can lead you anywhere. I will be finishing the book.

  41. Bloomability

  42. The Running dream
    Wendelin Van Draanen
This Book is AWESOME! I love how it is a mix of emotions, that make it feel very real. I can FEEL this character’s emotions. Jessica is an injured athlete that finds her way back to competing. This book hooked me in the first few sentences. This is a book that is written with so much detail, i cant put it down. I plan on rereading it over and over. I hope that whoever decides to read this will enjoy it as much as i did.

  44. Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
This book is super cute and a fun little romance, I love the main character, slightly awkward and shy, a little quirky, and since it’s written in first person you really get to know her and see the way she sees the world. This book is an enjoyable/relaxing, easy read so far!

  45. The Beginning of Everything
    Robyn Schneider

I really liked the book so far but I recommend it for maybe 8th graders or higher because it has inappropriate content. It’s about a boy called Ezra and he is going to be the homecoming king but then his girlfriend cheats on him. Then he meets a new girl called Cassidy and he develops a really close relationship between them (just friends).

I will definitely finish the book because I’m Hooked to find out what will happen between them.

  46. A Night Divided
    Jennifer A. Nielsen
This book is very interesting so far. The story includes a family that was split up because of the Berlin wall. So 12 year old Guerta wants to find a way to get to the west with the rest of her family in the east without getting into to trouble.

I wanna finish this book so I can see if Guerta and her family will make it in the west.

  48. Blended
    by Sharon M. Draper
I really like this book so far. I picked it up because I love Draper as an author (“Out of My Mind” is, like, my favorite book, ever!). I’m so glad I started it because it has been such a good book so far. It’s beautifully written and the characters are developed very thoroughly. I can’t wait to read the rest of the book!

  49. Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge
So the first maybe 30ish pages, it was really, really, really boring. I mean the first 30 pages, you practically get nothing. And the character hates EVERYONE. But then I powered through, and it gets way more interesting as it goes on! I will be finishing the book.

  50. Bone: Eyes of the Storm
    Jeff Smith
I LOVE this book, just like all the other books in the bone series.
Yes, I will finish this book. I have managed to get all of the bone series(except Treasure Hunters, which I have requested from the library) and I intend to finish them all within the next 3 weeks.

  51. With the Fire On High
    by Elizabeth Acevedo
I really like this book so far, I like the way each character is introduced and their personalities and background stories are all different. This book is already opening my eyes to the hardships other people are/may be facing. I will definitely be finishing this book.

  52. The Night Diary
    by Veera Hiranandani
This book has been so good so far. I like how the book is set up like a diary, where Nisha tells the story through her eyes, directed to her mother who passed away. I will be finishing this book.

  53. Harbor Me
    by Jacqueline Woodson
I really like this book so far, already I see how the characters in the story are growing from their experiences with each other, and how sharing your problems and stories can help you heal connect with others. I will be finishing this book!

  54. Crimson Bound by Rosamund Hodge
I mean it’s interesting, I want to find out what happens at the end, but like, the plot is kinda disappointing, I don’t really know what kind of direction this book is heading considering the characters just started working together which was a huge delay, the book is a little confusing with where they are, how much time passed since the other chapter, and I thought they died, kinda stuff. I mean I do want to finish the book, but compared to the other books, this is sort of a letdown, I don’t hate it, I don’t love it, it’s a I-think-i-like-it-not-sure kind of book. I mean if the book picks up the pace more throughout the book, then I think I’ll get more interested but so far, it’s like eh, I like the character but that’s about it. Will finish book though. 3.8ish stars

  60. Lost Hero – Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
Since I enjoyed reading the Percy Jackson Series, I’m trying this series out! This is also my very first time reading this series which will probably be a shocker to a lot of people. So far, this book has a ton of mysteries. I really like how the author does different pov’s. I’m kinda sad Percy’s not even there, but I do like how he’s kidnapped and involved with the mystery, and I do like how it’s still in the same generation and that it hasn’t been like 20 years. I will finish this!

  61. Book title: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
    Book Author: J.K. Rowling
I really enjoy reading the third installment of the Harry Potter series so far. It introduces a new concept of the wizarding world (dementors and the jail called Azkaban), and so far it has been so exciting to read. I will definitely be finishing this book.

  62. Son of Neptune – Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
I loved that twist at the end of the first book where Percy’s also lost his memory and in Camp Jupiter. Frank and Hazel are really interesting characters to read about, really like them so far, and I love how the author does different perspectives. Interesting so far and I will finish this!

  63. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Battle of the Labyrinth
Great book so far, just as exciting as the books before, I will definitely finish this book. I am quite surprised that this book is as unique and interesting as the other books, this author is really great!

  64. Zen and the Art of Faking it

  65. Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Last Olympian
    Rick Riordan
The last book of this series is probably my favorite because there is a super big siege with the halfbloods without any help. I will be finishing the Percy Jackson series today!

  66. Mark of Athena – Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
I’m not sure how I feel about this book yet. The perspectives aren’t the best pairings as I would’ve liked. I mean I can understand why Annabeth is one of the perspectives since I’m pretty sure this book is going to center mostly on her. Leo, Piper and Hazel seem random compared to the other character povs he could have done. But then again, Hazel and Leo have a connection.
I don’t like how they all just keep secrets from each other, like this has happened since the beginning of this series. Sometimes it’s just really annoying, like if you told them all couldn’t it bring you an advantage so you ALL can figure it out? Not sure which direction this story is going yet since nothing has really happened since they’re still on the fixing-the-ship part. I am pretty interested in Annabeth since the book before said she was going to be a problem and she’s keeping a secret from the group. I will finish the book.

  67. Dear Haiti, Love Alaine
    Maika and Maritza Moulite
I like this book so far because the plot is very interesting. The book is also written with many different genres to keep it from getting boring. I will finish it very soon.

  69. Tyrannosaurus Wrecks
    Stuart Gibbs
I was so excited to read this book! I have read all the other Funjungle books and this is the most recent one. It’s really funny and clever. I can’t wait to find out what happens next!

  70. Zack Delacruz: Me and My Big Mouth
    Jeff Anderson
This book is funny and it’s not a long read. The plot/storyline is creative and the characters are well developed and unique. I will be finishing this book.

  71. The One and Only Bob
    Katherine Applegate
This sequel to The One and Only Ivan is super interesting because instead of focusing on Ivan, the story is based around Bob and his life after the mall where Ivan was kept got shut down. I will definitely finish this book.

  72. The Mysterious Benedict Society
    by Trenton Lee Stewart
I love this book so far! The characters are amazing and the challenges/tests they take in the story test my knowledge as well! I can’t wait to finish this book.

  73. The Thing About Jellyfish
    by Ali Benjamin
I really like this book so far. Suzy is such an interesting character with a curious and special personality. I can’t wait to read the rest of the book!

  74. The House of Hades – Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
So far this book is really interesting, I really like how Annabeth and Percy are still together… but in Tartarus, which makes it action-packed and exciting. I could mistake this for the last book of the series because the stakes are so high. Will be finishing the book!

    1. Maybe you can do more elaboration. In pretty much every other post, everyone explains what happens a little, why they like it, etc. You have just put different titles (and different authors if they are not part of a series), and you have repeatedly said, “I like this book. I will finish this book./I like the book so far.” You’ve also put 5 stars for every book. Maybe take some time to explain why you thought every single book = 5 stars. It’s quite repetitive, and for those who might want to read the book, they might not see an insight into the book. People should always encourage others to read. To provide further explanation, here’s an example:

PERSON: “Hey, I’m going to do the 100-page challenge!”
THAT PERSON DOES THE CHALLENGE MULTIPLE TIMES. THAT PERSON MAKES IT DIFFERENT EVERY TIME.
PERSON 2: “Hey, that looks interesting! It seems like a book I’d like!”
ANOTHER PERSON: “I’ll do the 100-page challenge!”
THIS PERSON DOES THIS CHALLENGE MULTIPLE TIMES.
THIS PERSON MAKES IT VERY BLAND AND REPETITIVE.
ANOTHER PERSON 2: (scrolling along the 100-page challenge) “Oh, that doesn’t seem interesting. I don’t think I’m going to read it.

So I do look back on some posts for recommendations. Now, this isn’t meant to be mean, I’m just trying to give some constructive criticism to elaborate.

  75. Blood of Olympus- Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
I feel like I was more interested in House of Hades than this book, in some of the reviews on this book it says that there’s no Annabeth or Percy perspective, which really sucks! But I guess they got a major role in House of Hades, but not even a chapter of their perspective????? The stakes are high, but so far, nothing really major has happened. But I will finish this book since I do need to know what happens to everyone and it’s the last book!

  76. So this is Love – Twisted Fairy Tales by Elizabeth Lim
This book came out recently and I’ve been so excited to read this! I don’t know, something about Cinderella retellings are so awesome. I mean at first I was really iffy about this one, since it was waaaay too insta-lovish. But then cue the self-doubt, and the did-he-just-like-me-for-my-face? This book poses the question “What if Cinderella never tried on the glass slipper?” After she escapes from being shipped across the world, Cinderella becomes a servant in the palace. But when she finds evil plots about the past and the Royal family, she might be the only one who’s able to put a stop to it. I do enjoy the story this book has with its scheming villains and the character’s mysterious past. I will finish this book!

  77. The 5th Wave
    Rick Yancey
I really love this book so far. It keeps me wanting to read more, because of it’s story. The thought of the being the last person on the earth alive, survival, and the population fastly decreasing going from billions to millions in a few weeks can create an awesome plot. When I read this book, it always gives me an eerie vibe, and I love it!
I would definitely recommend this book to people.

  78. Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson So I read waaaaay more than 100 pages since I was so caught up in the book. So back tracking some pages… So up to 100 pages, it was pretty good, I mean I enjoyed it, I wanted to read more of it, but there were no fireworks, UNTIL later in the book, but i’ll talk about that in my review. I love how the author does different perspectives, and the characters are from totally different spheres. I love the main character, fierce and has fire. I mean obviously since I read way more than 100 pages without noticing, I’m going to finish! RIght now since I’m way over 100 pages, and I’ve read more into the book, this book is WOW, there’s a plot twist I’ll talk more about in my review, but there’s a plot twist that makes your head explode and fangirl so hard.

  79. Heart of Betrayal by Mary E Pearson
I’m really happy that all the main characters are in one spot, Lia and Rafe are still trapped but they’re devising a secret plan, no idea where that’s going. Not too much action so far, the book’s mostly introducing you to the land – Venda, but it is still enjoyable and interesting. I will finish the book!

  80. Beauty of Darkness by Mary E Pearson

The final book!!! I’m enjoying the book so far, mainly because Rafe, his four friends, and Lia are all together now! I love how Lia describes Rafe’s friends with their own unique personalities. I feel really bad for Kaden since he’s gotten rejected, betrayed, and almost-killed by a lot of people in this series and I really want a good ending for him, though I’m not sure how he’s going to turn out since he’s really bitter so far in this book looking at his perspective since he thinks everything Lia’s ever said to him was a lie. I like how there’s something that Lia’s mother is hiding which adds to the big mysterious scheme. There’s a lot of tension, lots of mysteries and lots of action! I will finish this book!
