  1. I think that it is important to spread the stories. Stories aren’t just good for childhood imagination, they help in so many more ways. It can reignite a spark of being a kid again in adults. It might be a story passed down from your family from generation to generation. No matter what, stories are important to have and keep. I thought it was interesting how she gave out real prescriptions and story prescriptions.

  2. I think that children need to spread these stories and tales to other people so that they can understand that they can be the protagonist in their own story: their life. They are in charge of their decisions and they get to decide what to do in situations.

  3. I think that how she expressed how stories were important was interesting. She talked about how it created a love for books and how it helped building a radical imagination. She really talked about what she thought made stories better overall.

  4. In this TED talk, you could see how she expressed how important imagination actually is. She used the examples of family and imagination expansion as a kid to back up her argument. This made her argument highly relatable and just made it more convincing. She does express how these stories were key elements in childhood.

  5. In this TED Talk, you need to spread the stories because it can share different points of views of different characters, with all different personalities and what it feels like to live in the world of the protagonists. This also shows on how in her experience that brown skinned girls can be a protagonists, and save the world and also be superheroes and she wants kids to have that experience.

  6. I think spreading stories can help kids to use their creativity and imagination. Learning different stories about different races or traits can be useful because it might stimulate our minds to think about others. Imagination can also help people take healthy risks and take control of their own lives.

  7. I think that kids do need to hear more stories. Some people think fairy tails are dumb but they connect so many people. Stories have been around forever and help with imagination. If you only read true or sad things, you may feel deprived of something. Your imagination. Fairy tails show risks and help people discover themselves.

  8. I think that the most people don’t relize that fairy tales helps boost of imaginations which help boost confidence which helps minds of the future act more productive.

  9. I think that fairy tales can help kids. I personally think they connect us with older people around us. Back then, everyone used to read fairy tales and then change the story for generations after. This helps us/kids with getting a bigger imagination. Sure, some of them are about flying and that isn’t possible now, but who knows what later generations can do? They show us some impossible things and help kids with having more creativity and imagination. Reading stuff like being brown of black and saving the world is really something we can show younger kids so they don’t have the mindset that brown of black people are bad, or can’t do anything. Overall, yes I think we should keep fairy tales and stories.

  10. Spreading stories ultimately does good for the kids. The kids read the stories and learn about what happens in the world around them and the struggles that they face. One person’s POV could be completely different than another person’s POV. Each perspective of a story is truly important and can impact the kid. I think kids should continue to read/listen to stories as it teaches them a lot.

  11. I think childs should share storys, they use creativity, skill and story telling!
It shows other kids different points of view and can change the kids OWN point of view!

  12. Fairytales. They’ve been around since the start of who-knows-what. Everyone knows them, or a version of them. They help people connect and help build on imagination. Imagination is a virtue that helps you in many professions: like acting, or singing, but it’s also useful in everyday life.

  13. I think the importance of this speech is that all races need to be represented in books. I sometimes wonder why a lot of Asians aren’t represented in books. Books are supposed to give you hope and challenge you to think out of the box.

  18. I believe in the importance of imagination and creativity just as much as she does. Children are able to use their minds and creativity to improve their imagination which will benefit their future no matter what field they decide to go into. She also mentions her race and its impact on her novel(s) which can very much positively change the way a child perceives others.

  19. I agree with what she said because fairytales can cheer people up when they are not having a good day and can take their mind off of things. It is good to build your imagination so that everything is not always black and white. It makes kids and adults inspired and feel free. Stories are important because people can learn life lessons from them and gain knowledge. Stories can let people be able to fit in other peoples shoes more easily and become more understanding and have different perspectives about things.
